The Board’s Advertising Policy (P006), approved in 2002, is under review to understand whether the policy continues to reflect the values and needs of our students and school communities and to make appropriate changes, if needed. To this end, an Advertising Review Committee, comprised of students, parents, principals, community members (research), staff and Trustees, is inviting staff, parents and students to participate in a survey to share thoughts and opinions on advertising in TDSB schools.
A web site has been developed to access the survey and provide background information about the topic (research, definition, background, current policy). The survey deadline is Thursday, April 5, 2012. Go to: http://www.tdsb.on.ca/advertisingsurvey

We are encouraging submissions by either individuals or by group (e.g. Student Council, School Council) as we recognize that this topic will be discussed at student, staff and school council meetings.

Surveys can be completed online (preferred) or downloaded and submitted via the school office – both versions are available on the host site. Translations will be available on the same site by March 12.

Questions regarding the survey can be directed to Business Development.
